The national capital of the surubí and home to its famous tournament. A Corrientes stretch of the Paraná with large surubí, dorado and patí.
The surubí season follows the warm water (spring and summer): you fish the bottom in the deep pools with swamp eel or cut sábalo and circle hooks. The August surubí tournament is one of the country's biggest fishing events. Goya is about 220 km from the city of Corrientes, with boat ramps, guides and lodging.

Disposición 937/2012: el pescador foráneo tiene devolución obligatoria de dorado y surubí; el residente con licencia puede llevar 1 dorado de 65 a 80 cm en este tramo. Reserva Natural Isoró (Boca del Isoró y todo el sistema): devolución obligatoria, anzuelo simple y exclusivamente spinning y fly cast; la reserva tiene además otras restricciones y prohibiciones cuyo texto oficial todavía no pudimos conseguir, así que consultá el régimen vigente antes de salir. Verificá también las vedas vigentes. Licencia online en recnaturalesctes.gob.ar.”
