Fishing techniques
La piraña es un cazador en cardumen, con dientes triangulares filosos que hacen de su pesca algo particular: ataca rápido y corta línea con facilidad.
Pesca de fondo/media agua con carnada
- Buscá remansos, orillas con vegetación o zonas de poca corriente donde suelen agruparse en cardumen.
- Armá un aparejo simple con plomada liviana y un tramo de leader grueso o de acero, imprescindible por sus dientes.
- Cebá con trozos de carnada de olor fuerte: morena, achura o pedazos de pescado, bien firmes en el anzuelo.
- Presentá la carnada cerca del fondo o a media agua y esperá; el pique suele ser una serie de tirones rápidos y nerviosos.
- Clavá rápido apenas sentís el primer tirón firme: si esperás de más, te puede cortar el anzuelo o robar la carnada.
- Recogé sin aflojar la línea; la pelea es corta pero violenta, con sacudidas fuertes cerca de la superficie.
También se la puede tentar con cucharitas chicas o señuelos de goma trabajados cerca de la estructura, sobre todo cuando el cardumen está activo.
Tips de guía: las horas de más calor y los cardúmenes visibles en la superficie son buena señal de actividad. Usá siempre leader de tanza gruesa o alambre: sus dientes cortan monofilamento fino en segundos, y manejala con pinza para desenganchar, nunca con los dedos cerca de la boca.
