The most urban shore fishing in the country: the Río de la Plata from the Costanera of Buenos Aires, where you catch boga, sábalo, catfish, river croaker and pejerrey (silverside). Rod in hand a few steps from downtown Buenos Aires.
It is shore and bottom fishing, accessible all year and family-friendly; the pejerrey shows up with the cold winter water and the river species with the floods. A social, popular classic more than a big-fish spot, but hugely valuable for anyone starting out in fishing.

The number (0 to 100) sums up how likely the species is to be active here this month: it weighs the season, recent catch reports and, where there is a river gauge, the water level.
The pejerrey is a medium-sized fish with a delicate mouth, so the tackle leans to the fine and sensitive side. A recommended setup:
The philosophy of the tackle is simple: the finer and more sensitive it is, the more bites you will detect and the more you will enjoy the fight of this silver fish.
Light-to-medium gear, small hooks and plant-based bait (dough, corn) or worm. On the bottom or floating in the rapids; a favorite in shore competitions.
