El arroyo Yaucha es un curso precordillerano chico del Valle de Uco, por la zona de San Carlos y Pareditas, que baja del faldeo andino con agua fría, clara y de poco cauce. En sus pozas y correderas menudas se esconden trucha arcoiris y trucha marrón, atentas y esquivas como corresponde a un arroyo de aguas transparentes.
Es pesca fina y de acecho: mosca con secas y ninfas livianas presentadas con cuidado, y spinning con señuelos chicos donde el cauce lo permite, cuidando la aproximación para no espantar el pique. Como regla general, conviene el otoño y el arranque de la primavera, cuando el deshielo afloja y el arroyo corre bajo y cristalino. Pesca íntima, de caminar la orilla agachado entre arbustos, con la precordillera árida cerrando el paisaje.
