A Santa Cruz steppe river, another great sea-run brown trout destination, with silver fish that run up from the Atlantic to near the city of Río Gallegos. Less known than the Río Grande, but with exceptional fishing.

Fly fishing from spring to autumn, with the wind as a constant companion; intermediate and sinking lines to reach the fish in the pools. Access is usually through ranch beats with limited rods. The city of Río Gallegos is the base.
