La corvina de río es un depredador de boca grande que se mueve entre el fondo y la media agua, buscando cardúmenes de peces chicos y camarones de río.
Pesca de fondo/media agua
- Ubicá pozones profundos, cabeceras de isla o zonas de correntada moderada donde se junta la carnada.
- Armá un aparejo de fondo o media agua con plomada corrediza, dejando la carnada a distintas profundidades hasta encontrar el pez.
- Usá carnada viva o fresca: mojarra, morenita o camarón de río, bien enganchados para que se muevan naturalmente.
- El pique suele ser una serie de toques antes de la corrida firme, típico de un pez que "prueba" la carnada.
- Esperá el segundo tirón fuerte antes de clavar: la corvina tiene la boca grande pero necesita tiempo para tragar bien.
- Peleá con presión constante; no suele saltar pero da tirones de cabeza fuertes cerca de la superficie.
También se la puede pescar con señuelos —minnows o soft plastics— trabajados lento cerca del fondo, sobre todo en canales y pozones profundos.
Tips de guía: el atardecer y la noche suelen ser los horarios de mayor actividad. Es un pez de carne muy apreciada, así que si la vas a llevar, sacrificala rápido y mantenela fresca.
