El porteñito es un bagre chico y muy común en los ríos del Litoral, ideal tanto como carnada de práctica como para una tarde de pesca liviana.
Pesca de fondo liviana
- Buscá orillas de poca profundidad, canales tranquilos o la salida de arroyos, donde suele agruparse en cantidad.
- Armá un equipo liviano con anzuelo chico (N° 8-12) y plomada mínima, apenas para llegar al fondo.
- Cebá con un trocito de lombriz, achura o masa, y dejá la carnada quieta cerca del fondo.
- El pique es rápido y seguido, con tironcitos cortos característicos de un cardumen activo.
- Clavá con un movimiento suave apenas sentís el primer tirón firme; tiene la boca chica.
- Recogé con calma; no ofrece gran pelea pero es rápido y entretenido, ideal para mantener la caña activa toda la tarde.
También cae con frecuencia como captura incidental mientras se pesca de fondo para otras especies, y es muy usado como carnada viva para peces más grandes.
Tips de guía: pica bien tanto de día como de noche, casi sin pausa cuando hay cardumen. Cuidado con las espinas pectorales al manipularlo: aunque es chico, puede pincharte si lo agarrás de manera brusca.
